LIMINGTON, Maine — A York County man who was reported missing on Monday has been found unharmed, according to the Maine Warden Service.
Robert McDonough, 73, who has dementia, was found alive on Gammon Road in Limington at approximately 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to Cpl. John MacDonald of the Maine Warden Service.
McDonough had been missing since 4 p.m. Monday, according to MacDonald.
McDonough spent nearly 14 hours missing and endured cold overnight temperatures, according to MacDonald.
He walked out of the woods on his own to his Gammon Road residence Tuesday morning, MacDonald said.
Game wardens used aircraft, infrared cameras, K-9 units and ATVs to search for McDonough, MacDonald said. York County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Limington Fire Department assisted in the search.
