Country fans can add another must-see concert to their list of happenings on the Bangor Waterfront this summer — American Country Award-winning artist Luke Bryan will be coming to Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion on the Bangor Waterfront on Saturday, Aug. 31, with openers Thompson Square. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 31.

Bryan is a seasoned country artist with a long list of accolades to his name. His album “Tailgates & Tanlines” produced three back-to-back Platinum singles, became a Top 10 album in 2012 according to SoundScan and sold seven million tracks, including hit singles “Rain Is a Good Thing,” “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” and “Drunk On You.” He has placed a total of six career singles at No. 1, and was named the No. 1 artist of 2012 and No. 1 male artist by Country Aircheck.

Billboard named “Tailgates & Tanlines” the No. 2 Country Album in 2012. Also in 2012, Bryan took home 11 music awards, including a record nine wins at the American Country Awards, as well as his first American Music Award. His fourth album will be released on Aug. 13. He also hosted the ACM Awards this year.

Bryan’s Dirt Road Diaries tour began earlier this year, and has been extended through the summer, including his Aug. 31 stop in Bangor. Tickets for the show are $32-$82 and are available at waterfrontconcerts.com, at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000 or the venue box office located at Mark’s Music in Brewer.
