ALTON and GLENBURN – Nichole Kristine Ellen Cable, 15, died tragically last week. She was born Aug. 12, 1997, in Fort Atkinson, Wis., daughter of David Cable and Kristine Franks.
Nichole was a fun loving and enjoyable girl with a spunky and feisty personality that despite her small stature would fill any room that she was in. She enjoyed time spent with friends and was always connected to them either through texts or email. Family time was also important to Nichole and she enjoyed the many family outings including trips to Bar Harbor. She had participated in a fashion show put on by Deb’s and always wanted every dress and pair of shoes she had the opportunity to model. She was currently a sophomore at Old Town High School and had participated in cheerleading at both Glenburn and Old Town schools.
She is survived by her mother, Kristine Wiley and stepfather, Jason; father, David Cable; brother, David Cable Jr.; three sisters, Annabelle Grace Wiley, Emma Jean Wiley and Julia Jane Wiley; maternal grandparents, Glenn and Sharon Franks; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Engstrom; maternal aunts and uncles, Randy Franks and wife, Colleen, Billy Franks and wife, Lisa, and Kathleen Franks; paternal aunts and uncles, Jolene Fennessy, and William Cable and wife, Mary; stepgrandparents, Lewis Jr. and Jeanie Wiley; stepgreat-grandparents, Louis Sr. and Emma Wiley; stepaunts and stepuncles, Michelle, Jeff and Jessica. She was predeceased by paternal grandfather, William Cable Sr.; aunt, Christine Gordon; and stepuncle, Chris Wiley.
Several memorial funds have been established to benefit victims and create awareness of violent crimes.
