April Doughty graduated this May from the University of Maine at Augusta-Bangor campus with a bachelor of science degree in justice studies with a concentration in American studies. She took a non-traditional route through her academic career, starting college in 1995, taking a hiatus in 2002 to start a family, and re-entering school in 2010 to finish her degree. Doughty’s goal is to use her degree and experience to create social change. The University of Maine at Augusta offers a wide range of bachelor, associate, and certificate programs.
