EAST MILLINOCKET — A Lawn Party including an auction with auctioneer Kermit Cote will be held on Aug. 1, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, as a major fundraiser for the church. The church is feeling the effects of the economic downturn that is having an impact on the Katahdin area’s paper and wood industries. Those wishing to donate items to the auction, excluding clothes and appliances, should call 746-3333 Mondays-Thursdays. This replaces the annual yard sale.
