ORRINGTON, Maine — Penobscot County sheriff’s deputies are investigating four car burglaries that occurred overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Sgt. James Kennedy said the burglaries took place on River Road spanning from the Cookson Road to the Brewer town line.

All the vehicles that were broken into were left unlocked, he said. Among items stolen were change, an Ipod and an MP3 player.

“One lady had several credit cards taken that have now been cancelled,” said Kennedy.

No arrests have been made, but Kennedy said police believe they “have a couple suspects.”

“We’ll do some more [investigating Friday],” he said.

Kennedy is advising residents to keep their vehicles locked at night. Anyone with information on the incidents should contact the Penobscot County sheriff’s office at 947-4585.
