MAPLETON – Ivan E. Keith, 78, husband of the late Nellie (Osgood) Keith, died May 21, 2013, at a Presque Isle hospital, with his granddaughter, Amy, by his side. He was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Kossuth Plt., the son of Fayette and Delvina (Severance) Keith.
Ivan was a lineman for ME Public Service until his retirement. He loved cutting wood and was a member of the Anah Temple Shrine.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Paula Potter and her husband, Gary, of Benton and Sally Mulligan and her partner, David Geel, of Westbrook; four grandchildren, Amy Gagnon and her partner, Nicholas Voisine, of Presque Isle, Troy Potter and his wife, Jennifer, of Windham, Stacy Chimento and her husband, Michael, of Wells, and Susan Mooers and her husband, Jeff, of Hudson, N.H.; nine great-granchildren, Gavin, Owen, Sophey, Alexander, Ethan, Noah, Isabella, Cameron and Alyson; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Gagnon; a son, David Keith; and all of his siblings.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Kingman Cemetery, with the Rev Thomas Smith officiating.
