YORK, Maine — One person is reportedly dead after a single-vehicle accident on Route 91 on Saturday.

A full-size pickup truck went off the road at approximately 3 p.m. and hit a tree, according to emergency dispatchers.

York dispatch said the accident occurred near Kingsbury Lane.

It is not known how many people were in the truck and if anyone else was injured, but police did say a dog was hurt and taken to an animal hospital.

A portion of the road, also known as Cider Hill Road, was closed as police investigated the accident.
