Harold ‘Kippy’ C. Young

CLINTON – Harold “Kippy” C. Young, 72, died May 13, 2013, at his residence. He was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Alton, son of Harold M. and Harriet E. (Kealiher) Young.

He worked for many years as a technician for NCR Corporation. He enjoyed woodworking and liked to hunt, fish and work on his antique ’67 Charger. One of his favorite things was spending time at camp with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary (Pollard) Young of Clinton; two sons, Scott Young and wife, Bobbi, of Bangor and Michael Young and wife, Patty, of Presque Isle; three daughters, Kimberly and husband, Kurt Caswell of Waterville, Bethany and husband, Howard Nelson, of Waterville and Tracie Young and partner, Ernie Tyler, of Oakland; brother, Lester Young of Brewer; sisters, Wanda McKenna of Skowhegan, Devon Storman of Orono and Kathy Akoa of Machias; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Harold’s life noon-3 p.m. June 2, at Elk’s Lodge, 37 Fourth St., Old Town.
