GORHAM, Maine — Gorham police are searching for the suspect who robbed a man at knifepoint at a Gorham ATM machine on Tuesday evening.

Detective Sgt. Dana Thompson said Thursday the robbery occurred at the KeyBank ATM on Main Street.

As the victim was making a cash withdrawal, the suspect approached him with a knife and demanded cash, according to Thompson.

The suspect was unsuccessful in accessing the victim’s account, but did manage to steal a small amount of cash the victim had on his person and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male standing between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 8, has short dirty blonde or brown hair, was wearing a plain thick baseball hat, tan shorts and a black jacket.

Anyone who has seen the suspect is advised to call Gorham police at 222-1660.
