ROCKLAND, Maine — A 49-year-old Camden man pleaded not guilty to a charge that he exposed himself to two young female workers at a convenience store in March.

Gary M. White has been charged with indecent conduct, according to a complaint filed last week in court. White’s attorney filed the plea in Rockland District Court on Thursday.

The alleged incident occurred at Kaler’s Korner Market in Rockland at the intersection of Old County Road and Route 17. According to Deputy Rockland Police Chief Wally Tower, the women reported that a man exposed his genitals to them shortly after 8 p.m. on that day.

The man left the store and the clerks called the police and provided a description of the man and the car.

White was not charged immediately because they didn’t know who he was.

Indecent conduct is a Class E crime with a maximum penalty of six months in jail.
