Olive Marie Pound

CLEARWATER, Fla., and AUGUSTA – Olive Marie Pound, 92, died May 6, 2013, at Woodside Hospice House, Largo, Fla., after a long illness. She was born Nov. 26 , 1921, in Millinocket, daughter of Harry R. and Nola (Sargeant) Boynton.

She was a graduate of Stearns High School, Millinocket, class of 1938. Olive was a member of Eastern Star, Onawa Chapter 130, Millinocket. She was a devout Christian all of her life and imparted her loving spirit to all who knew her. Olive Marie was a wonderful homemaker and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Olive was predeceased by her devoted husband of 62 years, Lloyd G. Pound. She is survived by two sons, David Lloyd Pound and wife, Lynda, of Palermo and Jonathan Michael Pound and wife, Annette, of Phillips; three grandchildren, Kristin Michael Pound of Durham, Stephanie Beth Dickson of Gardiner and Glendon Lloyd Pound of Farmington; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Ian and Ethan Dickson and J.T., Drew and Jaxson Pound; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. Burial will be at a later date at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
