Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ W. Overlock

BANGOR and BREWER – Jacqueline W. (Currier) Overlock, 80, passed away May 10, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 29, 1932, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Linwood B. and Ola (Kidney) Currier.

Jackie was raised in Fort Fairfield and was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School. She lived in the greater Bangor area for many years and worked in retail sales at Freese’s and Porteous. Jackie enjoyed gardening, shopping and doting on her nieces and nephews and the love of her life, her little poodle, Gigi. She loved life and will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Jackie is survived by three sisters, Marilyn A. Hilyard of Brewer, Donna C. Slone and husband, Robert, of Kentucky and Betty C. Hoyt and husband, Floyd, of Bangor; five nephews; three nieces; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and nephew, Daniel J. Hilyard.

A private family service will be held at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. Private interment will be with her parents at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. Messages of condolence and memories may be shared through www.hampdengilpatrick.com.
