By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

HERMON, Maine — A Subway restaurant was burglarized sometime between the hours of 10 p.m. Tuesday and 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to police.

Chief Deputy Troy Morton of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are currently reviewing video evidence of the incident at the Subway on Route 2 near Danforth’s Supermarket.

Morton said no suspect description was available Wednesday afternoon.

“We’re looking for anybody who may have seen vehicles or persons anywhere around the [Danforth’s] plaza between 10 and 2,” he said.

Morton said a single person entered the restaurant after it was closed and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. No damage was done to any food.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office at 947-4585.
