SACO, Maine — Police in Saco made their third arrest for indecent conduct in eight days after a Biddeford man allegedly exposed himself Monday afternoon.

Roy Fortin, 57, is being held at the York County Jail on $100 bail, according to Saco Deputy Chief Jeffrey Holland.

Police have stepped up undercover patrols because of numerous complaints of illicit and suspicious behavior by local residents in certain areas of the city, according to Holland.

On Thursday, 64-year-old Allen Hahn of Old Orchard Beach was arrested after grabbing an undercover officer’s genitals and asking ‘are we doing this?’ while Daniel Latham, 54, of Yarmouth was arrested April 30 after police found him walking naked. Both of those arrests occurred at Cascade Falls Park.

Monday’s events occurred behind the commuter parking lot on Industrial Park Road shortly after noon, according to Holland. The deputy chief said that is one of the areas police are stepping up patrols.

An undercover officer was patrolling in the woods when he encountered Fortin, who unzipped his pants and exposed himself to the officer, the deputy chief said.

The officer quickly arrested Fortin and brought him to the jail.
