BATH, Maine — A 24-year-old Bath man was arrested Saturday night after police say he beat up his girlfriend.
Officers went to an apartment shared by Damion Fincher, his 21-year-old girlfriend and her half-sister at 10:05 p.m. The half-sister told police that Fincher was beating his girlfriend, Bath police Lt. Robert Savary said Monday.
Officers noted marks on the woman’s body, which she said were the result of being pushed and then dragged across a rug, according to Savary.
Fincher was charged with aggravated assault/strangulation and domestic violence assault that was elevated to a Class C felony because of prior convictions, Savary said.
Fincher was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset and held without bail. He is scheduled for arraignment Monday afternoon, according to an official at the jail.
