SACO, Maine — A Biddeford man is facing a felony charge after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman early Friday, police said.
Rafael Ocasio, 25, is accused of gross sexual assault, a Class B felony, Saco Deputy Chief Jeffrey Holland said.
Police were called to a Bradley Street apartment shortly after midnight for a disturbance complaint, Holland said.
When police arrived and questioned the 27-year-old female, she told officers Ocasio, an acquaintance of hers, had sexually assaulted her. After investigating, police arrested him.
Ocasio was unable to post $25,000 cash bail and brought to York County Jail, where he remained Friday afternoon, according to Holland.
Ocasio’s first court appearance is scheduled for June 6.
