Lisbon High School graduate dies in Florida hit and run

PENSACOLA, Fla. — A Lisbon High School graduate serving in the Navy in Florida was killed in an automobile accident Sunday morning.

According to WEAR TV in Florida, Robert Michael Hall Roy was traveling on Interstate 10 near his home in Pace at 3 a.m. when the Dodge Charger he was in was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Brianna Strumm, 25, of Milton.

Both vehicles lost control, with the Charger flipping several times. According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, cited on WEAR, Roy was ejected from his car and pronounced dead at the scene.

Strumm reportedly fled the scene before being arrested by Santa Rosa County deputies.

Strumm has been charged with driving under the influence, manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.
