HERMON and BREWER – Sarah Elizabeth Eason, 28, passed away unexpectedly April 20, 2013. Sarah was born Feb. 11, 1985, daughter of Mary-Lynne (Burgess) Eason of Brewer. She was engaged to her true life Prince, Joshua Rickman of Hermon, and already was part of his family including his son, Steven and parents, Joe and Cindy Rickman of Holden. Her father, William “Chris” Eason lives in Greer, S.C.
Sarah attended Brewer schools and took part in sports and music programs. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Brewer, and loved being part of their Youth Ministries program. Her favorite place to be was Disney World, and she found joy in being a Disney Princess. Her cats, Colossus and Illyana, and their dog, Juggernaut, shared a loving home with her and Josh. Sarah traveled for two seasons with Fiesta Shows where she made friends with people from all over the world. She attended classes in health and human services at the University of Maine, Augusta, and loved her job working with disabled adults and children. She volunteered at Camp Cappella and with the Special Olympics. Sarah was an organ donor wanting to help others even by her own death.
Sarah is survived by her brothers, Patrick E. Eason of Brewer, Jonathan Rose and wife, Jennifer, and children of Brunswick and Christopher Rose and fiancée, Shana DiNapoli, of Bangor and their children. She was the beloved goddaughter and niece of Ernest Burgess Jr. of East Corinth; and goddaughter of Deborah Cox of Bangor; niece of Rosalie (Burgess) Rollins and Richard Rollins of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Maggie (Eason) and Robert Hurley of Bowdoinham. She left behind a much loved family including cousins, Frankie (Wetmore) Ficarelli of Orlando, Fla., Clifford “Doug” Wetmore of Guilford, Shawn Burgess of E. Corinth, Gretchen Burgess of Richmond, Va., Hope and Alex Rollins of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Lindy Hurley of Virginia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. There was no distinction, if you were family, you were family, however far removed on the family tree. She was particularly close to Theresa Aileen (Burgess) Seguino of Bangor and Allison “Britt” Wetmore and wife, Tammy, of Alabama. Sarah’s legion of friends is too vast to be listed individually, but each one was loved and accepted by her without judgment and she truly made their worlds a better place. You know who you are and we thank you for the joy you brought to her life.
