Lurlene E. Lawton

ORLANDO, Fla. – Lurlene E. Lawton, 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family April 22, 2013, at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando, Fla. Mrs. Lawton was the widow of Clark F. Lawton who passed away in 1988. She was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Millinocket, the daughter of Gladys (Townsend) and Clyde H. Folsom.

She was a graduate of Stearns High School and Maine School of Commerce, 1938. After graduation she went to work in Southwest Harbor where she met and later married her husband, Clark. In 1952 they moved to Bangor and then to Orlando in 1965. They had three sons together, Wayne, Gary and Alan. Mrs. Lawton enjoyed Wednesday Orlando Senior Bingo Club and was an ardent Orlando Magic Fan.

She is survived by two children, Wayne and wife, Anne, of Bangor and Alan and wife, Roxanne, of Kissimmee, Fla. In addition to her sons, she is survived by daughter-in-law, Connie of Orlando, Fla.; brother, Clyde H. Folsom Jr. and Carolyn of Bangor; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Clark; son, Gary; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Clayton Currie; and brother, James Folsom.
