Larry R. Neilander

SUMMERFIELD, Fla. – Larry R. Neilander, 70, passed away April 15, 2013. He was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Caribou, son of the late Edmond and Hannah (Patten) Neilander.
Larry served in the Vietnam War, was a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Caribou. For many years he lived in Meriden, Conn., and worked at New Haven Terminal as a crane operator and was a member of Longshoreman Union. In his life he had traveled many times from Maine to Florida. He was born in Caribou, lived in Meridan, Conn., and died in Summerfiled, Fla.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Shelly; grandsons, Ryan and Dallis; stepgranddaughter, Lauren, all of Summerfield, Fla.; sister, Doreen Thompson of Brewer; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Priscilla Neilander of Woodland; and several nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by brother, Darrell Neilander.
Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery at a later date.
