ROCKLAND, Maine — Two people were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with a bath salts investigation.
Tiffany Batty, 31, of Rockland, was arrested on outstanding warrants including a probation violation, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Supervisor James Pease. She also was summoned for trafficking and possession of bath salts, Pease said.
Richard Emery, 39, of Rockland, was arrested on a felony charge of possession of bath salts and a charge of hindering apprehension, according to Pease. The officer said Emery tried to hide Batty in the Camden Street residence that police searched around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
About five grams of bath salts were seized at the residence.
Both remained at the Knox County Jail in Rockland on Wednesday afternoon.
