BANGOR and ST. PETERSBURG BEACH, FLA. – Elinor Citrin, 95, passed away April 14, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bangor, the daughter of Sadie and Joseph Glazier.
She was a long time resident of Portland before moving to Florida in 1995. Elinor was a graduate of Bangor High School and New York School for Women and was a private secretary until she met her future husband, Murray Citrin, while he was a student at the University of Maine.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Kerry Citrin and wife, Josephine, of Thomasville, N.C.; daughter, Nancy Rosenberg and husband, Dr. Stanley, of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Beth Israel Cemetery, Bangor. A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at Toby Weinman Assisted Living Facility, 255 59th Street N., St. Petersburg, Fla.
