Viola Drew

BREWER – Viola Drew, 86, wife of the late Floyd “Pilot” Drew Sr., passed away April 8, 2013, after a short illness at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 12, 1927, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Amon and Mary Ellen (Sincyr) Fish.

Viola attended school in Skowhegan. Oct. 6, 1951, she married Floyd “Pilot” Drew Sr. She was a 35 year member of Eagles Club, Brewer. She was a 26 year member of Old Town American Legion Auxiliary, where she and Pilot enjoyed dancing and camaraderie with other members. Vi loved playing Beano, camping and going to yard sales with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband Pilot, who died Feb. 27, 1992; she was predeceased by a son, Tommy; two brothers, Everett and Harold Fish and cousins, Jean and Chummy Wentworth. She is survived by daughter, Mary Drew of Brewer; son, Floyd Drew Jr., of Brewer; five grandchildren, David, Cherry, Shawn, Chris and Gabby; three great-grandchildren, Alina, Mayli and Raynlin; cousins, Skeeter Jr., Annie and Pedro Wentworth and their children.

A celebration of life will be held 4-6:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Brewer Eagles Club, 22 Atlantic Ave., Brewer. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. For an online guest book please visit www.clayfuneralhome.com.
