MILLINOCKET – Dorothy M. Campbell, 84, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Stockholm, the daughter of Joseph and Wilena (Guerette) LaBrecque.
Dorothy was a resident of Maine her entire life. She owned and operated Mom’s Pizza in Greenville for several years and moved to Millinocket after marrying Basil Campbell in 1984. They spent more than 20 years together and spent much time camping and sharing their lives. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Basil E. Campbell, of Millinocket; son, Michael and wife, Tracey, of Greenville; stepson, Basil “Butch” Campbell Jr. and wife, Sally, of Gray; brother, Leo LaBrecque and wife, Shirley, of Dover-Foxcroft; sister, Linda Jarvis and husband, Mike, of Lincoln; two special granddaughters, Danielle and Alyssa; three stepgrandsons, Richard Campbell and family, Keith Sparks and family and Ernie Sparks; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Blaine M. Anderson; two brothers, Edward and Henry LaBrecque; and stepdaughter Duska Hansen.
At Dorothy’s request, there will be no services at this time. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery later in the spring.
