Wanted Presque Isle man arrested after allegedly bringing gun into bar

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Presque Isle police officers and Maine State Police troopers responded just after midnight Sunday to a report of a man with a gun at Bou’s Brew Pub on Main Street in Presque Isle.

Officers responding found that the pub’s staff had removed, disarmed and detained a patron subsequently identified at Wayne Boulier, 32, of Presque Isle.

According to a report by Presque Isle police, the pub’s staff took a loaded firearm from Boulier before police arrived. Boulier was arrested on charges of possessing a firearm in a liquor establishment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violating condition of release, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a usable amount of marijuana, unlawful possession of a Schedule Z drug, as well as on an outstanding warrant.

Boulier was unable to make bail.

Responding officers included Presque Isle Sgt. Eric Erickson and Cpl. Wayne Selfridge. Also responding were state Troopers Rob Flynn and Nick Casavant.
