Wilton police investigating theft of $800 in fuel oil from residence

WILTON, Maine — Police are investigating the theft of a full tank of oil from a vacant residence on Lyle Hall Road.

The property owner notified police Tuesday that his 250-gallon tank containing No. 2 fuel oil was empty, Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Wednesday morning.

The estimated value of the missing oil is about $800.

Lyle Hall Road is a dead-end road located off Temple Road in East Wilton.
