Carol (Lizotte) Derosier

ST. AGATHA – Carol (Lizotte) Derosier, 62, passed away peacefully April 1, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 3, 1950, in Sinclair, daughter of Rene and Rena (Chamberland) Lizotte.
She was a graduate of Wisdom Middle High School. She then attended Twin City Beauty School, Brewer, where she earned her degree in hairdressing in 1969. She established her salon in St. Agatha where she was able to develop her talent as an avid hairstylist. She discontinued her business only to assist her husband, Dick, with the family farm. In 1983, she became the proud co-founder of Lakeview Restaurant and Camping Resort. Carol was a beautiful, kind, compassionate and selfless woman who was loved by many. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and wasn’t inhibited in tackling what she believed to be issues of interest. She was the co-organizer of St. Agatha Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary along with her sister, Mary Ann; and a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 145 for 43 years. Carol and Dick enjoyed their time together taking trips and going on cruises. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing cards, scrapbooking and playing slots. Her passion for gardening in the summer was very noticeable when you drove to Lakeview and saw the bountiful flower gardens. In the winter, she took great pride in decorating for the holiday season. Most of all, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved spending time with family, friends and especially treasured her time with her precious grandchildren. Carol will be dearly missed by her loving family, relatives and friends who knew her throughout her life.
She is survived by her mother, Rena Lizotte of Madawaska; three beautiful daughters, Lisa Derosier and significant loved one, Shawn Pelletier, of Madawasaka, Becky and husband, Ryan Pelletier, of Frenchville, and Jennifer and husband, Jason Daigle, of St. Agatha; she was “Memere Carol” to five adorable grandchildren, Reece, Logan and Blake Pelletier, and Kelsie and Kamden Daigle; sisters, Maryann and husband, Ricky Chamberlain, of St. Agatha, Jeannine and husband, Ken Michaud, of Frenchville, and Sue and husband, Phil Duval, of Fort Kent; sister-in-law, Dorothy and husband, Francis Fournier, of Biddeford; brother-in-law, Luke Jr. Derosier and wife, Margie; and several nieces and nephews. She will be reunited with her beloved husband of 41 years, Dick; father, Rene; and an infant sister, Verna.
