PORTLAND, Maine — Alleged prostitute Alexis Wright is in Cumberland County Superior Court Friday morning for a second round of plea negotiations with prosecutors.

Wright, 30, of Wells failed to reach a plea agreement earlier this month after nearly five hours of discussions with prosecutors. The two sides could reach an agreement by the end of the day.

Wright arrived at the Portland courthouse alongside her attorney Sarah Churchill. Neither commented to members of the media.

The discussions come one week after Wright’s alleged co-conspirator Mark Strong, 57, of Thomaston was sentenced to 20 days in York County Jail, and ordered to pay $3,000 in fines as well as $80 per day of incarceration. Strong was convicted on 13 counts — 12 counts of promotion of prostitution and one count of conspiracy to commit the crime of promotion of prostitution.

Wright faces 106 counts of prostitution, invasion of privacy and tax-related offenses. She has pleaded not guilty.
