EDDINGTON – Nettie Beatham, 54, passed away March 26, 2013, after a long courageous battle with cancer at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1958, in Belfast, daughter of Grover Curtis Jr. and Marie (Ward) Curtis.
Nettie was a positive happy person and always kept people smiling. She worked hard for many years and recently enjoyed being home spending time with her grandchildren. Nettie loved to shop and to find bargains. She enjoyed camping and being outdoors.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, David Beatham Sr; children, Spc. Frank Beatham and wife, Rebecca, of Iowa, David Beatham and girlfriend, Helen Griffith, of South Dakota, Marie Beatham of Holden, and Tina Babin and husband, Bert, of Milford; siblings, Darlene, Sheila, Sharon, Rodney, Roland, Sonny, Michael, Darrell and Meldon; grandchildren, William, Katherine, Kristin, Isaac, Maranda and Reed; one great-granddaughter, Keyera; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and even more family and friends. She is now in heaven with her grandmother, Sadie Ward; brother-in-law, Larry Beatham; mother-in-law, Ruth Beatham; nephew, Chris Runci; and father of her grandchildren, Thomas Larcombe.
A gathering in celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Comins Hall, 1387 Main Road, Eddington. Interment will be in the spring at Eddy Cemetery, Eddington.
