Jeannine Ann's SUV collided with a tractor trailer on the Unity Road in Benton on Tuesday afternoon, March 19, during a storm. Both vehicles came to rest off the road following the collision. The two drivers were alone when the crash took place about 12:30 p.m. Ann died from her injuries Monday, police confirmed.

BENTON, Maine — A Thorndike woman involved in an automobile accident last week has died, police said.

Jeannine Ann, 65, had been listed in critical condition at Maine Medical Center in Portland since the accident on March 19, Sgt. Aaron Hayden of the Maine State Police said Tuesday.

Hayden confirmed that Ann died from her injuries on Monday at the hospital.

Ann was driving east on Route 139 when she lost control of her Ford Explorer on the slushy roadway during last week’s snowstorm, the sergeant said.

Her SUV was broadsided by a tractor-trailer driven by Michael Hogan, 32, of Bangor, Hayden said. Hogan was heading west and did not have time to stop before his rig struck Ann’s SUV.

Hogan was not injured in the accident.
