Dorothy J. Jelley

GREENFIELD, MASS., AND CHARLESTON – Dorothy J. Jelley, 98, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 23, 2013, after a brief illness. She was born April 4, 1914, in Greenfield, Mass., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Shepard.

Dorothy attended Greenfield schools. Mrs. Jelley and her husband, the Rev. Ralph Jelley were, married March 30, 1940. Together they pastured churches in Aponauge, R.I., Greenfield, Mass., and East Hartford, Conn., and graduated from Zion Bible College. They retired in 1980 and for 26 years assisted the ministry of preaching and radio programs at Living Waters Assembly of God.

Dorothy leaves behind her loving husband, Ralph F. Jelley Sr. of Charleston; two sons, Ralph and wife, Pamela, of Charleston, and John and wife, Faith, of Massillion, Ohio; two daughters, Darlene Clark and husband, Ray, of Toms River, N.J., and Lois Gray and husband, Donald, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. March 30 at Living Waters Assembly of God, Greenfield, Mass., with the Rev. David Levandusky officiating. Cremation arrangements are in care of Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. Please visit
