ORONO – Marilyn W. Curtis, 83, died peacefully March 22, 2013, at Dirigo Pines, Orono. She was born March 18, 1930, in Medway, the daughter of Walter B. and Ruth A. (Farrington) Windsor.
Marilyn graduated from Mattanawcook High School, class of 1948. She attended Glad Tidings Church for many years. Marilyn’s family was her life. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, cooking and gardening. Marilyn was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Wanda Monroe and her husband, Daniel, of Bangor; son, Wally Curtis and his wife, Lisa, of Holden; and grandchildren, Joshua, Cameron, Ava and Janelle Monroe of Bangor and Cody Ware of Holden. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, C. Waldron Curtis Sr.; sister, Ruthie Dysart; and brothers, Walter Windsor and Morton Windsor. The family thanks the Dirigo Pines staff, of the Arbor Unit, for their loving care and kindness to Marilyn throughout the years.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, after the service.
