EXETER – Gayle B. Pushor, 53, died March 19, 2013, at her residence after a battle with cancer. She was born June 13, 1959, in Waterville, a daughter of Robert and Jacqualyn (Smith) Bennett.
She graduated from Waterville High School and Beal College, Bangor. Gayle served in the U. S. Army stationed in Germany. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Exeter. Gayle was employed as a service writer at T & W Garage, Newport, and as a coding clerk at St. Joseph Hospital, Bangor. After moving to Alaska with her husband, she also worked as a scheduler at the imaging center at Providence Hospital, Anchorage, Alaska After retiring in April 2012, they moved back to Maine in May.
She is survived by her father, Robert Bennett and wife, Diane, of Pittston; her husband, Peter Pushor of Exeter; two sons, Richard Dunton and wife, Kristin, of Pittsfield and Eric Dunton and his girlfriend, Mallorie Schaefer, of Newport; a sister, Bobbi Sands of Pittsfield; two stepbrothers, Scott and wife, Tina Paradis, and Stephen and wife, Betty-Jo Paradis, all of Gardiner; a grandson, Dyllon Dunton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Crystal; and stepsister, Selena Arbour.
A celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the services. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
