Camden election season opens

CAMDEN, Maine — Nomination papers became available this week for people wanting to serve on the Selectboard or school boards.

One selectman seat, currently filled by Chairman Martin Cates, is available.

As of Friday, no one had taken out papers.

There are two school board seats open, both for three-year terms. The posts are currently held by Tori Manzi and John Lewis. Manzi is chair of the School Administrative District 28 Board.

Lewis has taken out papers.

A seat on the personnel board also is available.

The deadline for filing papers at the town office to get on the ballot is April 29.

The election will be June 11.
