OAKFIELD – Peter Cullinan, 80, died March 20, 2013, at his home. He was born March 14, 1933, in Houlton, son of Joseph and Evelyn (Appleby) Cullinan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Korea. Peter retired from Georgia Pacific after 27 years and was a 50-year member of e Frank B. Holden Post No. 52, Oakfield. He dearly loved his family and working
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice (Crandall) Cullinan of Oakfield; children, Danette Barrows and husband, Danny, of Oakfield, Diana Betschner and husband, Robert, of Dyer Brook, Peter Cullinan and wife, Nikki, and Jill White and husband, Brad, all of Oakfield; six grandchildren, Amanda and Jay Burpee, Jeremy and Anis Barrows, Shaun Barrows, Robert Jr. and Chelsay Betschner, Lindsay White and Trenton Cullinan; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jennie Crandall of Raynham, Mass., and Roy Cullinan of Oakfield; brother-in-law, Mark Clemans of Milford Center, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Christie; two sisters, Anne Pelkey and Mary Clemans.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 22, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating. Spring interment will be at Oakfield Cemetery.
