Madawaska – Albin Rossignol, 83, died March 18, 2013, at a Caribou hospital. He was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Frenchville, son of Leo and Yvonne Rossignol.
He worked at Fraser Papers for 40 years until his retirement in 1990. One of his favorite hobbies that brought him much joy was woodworking. He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband and father, and he will be deeply missed. This particular verse brought him much comfort and peace in the last few weeks of his life – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jossie Cyr Rossignol of Madawaska; two sons, Michael Rossignol and his dear friend, Joan Dube, of Frenchville and Gregory Rossignol and wife, Gabrielle, of Germany; daughters, Frances Hebert and husband, June, and Sandra Peterson and husband, Michael, of Madawaska; two wonderful grandchildren, Danielle Rossignol of Boston and John Hebert of Frenchville; three sisters, Winette Michaud of Madawaska, Marilyn Jaqua and Adeline Garland of Florida; one brother, Ronald Rossignol of Frenchville; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Bert of San Antonio.
Those who wish to pay their respects to the family may do so 9-10 a.m. March 26 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m.
