GREENVILLE – Riley Michael Lizotte, 12, died suddenly March 17, 2013, at Maine Medical Center, Portland, with his mother and grandmother at his side. A miracle from his birth, he was born July 20, 2000, with pulmonary atresia, and braved five open heart surgeries.
Selfless and concerned for others, Riley was a very happy, sweet and loving boy. His quality of life was of most importance to his family. Riley was a “jokester” with a great sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh, but at the end of the day what made him happiest were the hugs and snuggles. He will be sadly missed and will be in our hearts forever.
He is survived by his mother, Heather Lizotte; grandparents, Michael and Jackie Lizotte; and great-grandparents, Francis and Joyce Whitney, all of Greenville; uncle and aunt, Joe and Mondae Lizotte, and their children, Jacob, Hannah and Andrew, all of Dayton; several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his great-grandparents, George and Emily Later, and Roland Lizotte; and great-aunt, Aileen Mendes.
Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Union Evangelical Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Veon officiating. Spring burial will be at Greenville Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, Development Office, 22 Bramhall St., Portland, ME 04102.
