TOWNSHIP 4, Maine — Officials have located a pickup truck owned by a man who was last seen in Old Town on Wednesday.

A black Toyota pickup registered to 41-year-old Troy Crawford was found near Nicatous Lake in Hancock County shortly after noon on Friday, according to Richard Bowie of the Downeast Emergency and Medicine Institute.

Bowie said searchers are combing nearby woods in an attempt to locate Crawford. His vehicle was found stuck on a log near the end of Nicatous Stream Road, he added.

Officials from the Maine Warden Service and state police were en route to the area shortly after 1 p.m., according to Bowie. DEEMI officials also have aircraft searching the area.

Warden service officials are also bringing in a search dog, Bowie said. He’s optimistic that Crawford will be found alive.

“He’s out there somewhere,” said Bowie.

Crawford is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, 6 feet tall, and weighing 155 pounds.
