Coach (Tim Whitehead’s) keys to the game: “We’ve got to stay out of the penalty box. We’ve got to defend their high breakout and fast break (transition). And we’ve got to attack their net and get second and third shots. They’ve got a good goaltender.”

Game notes: Maine is 14-1 all-time against UMass Lowell in the postseason although they have never faced UMass Lowell in its home rink. Maine is 5-1 in the last six games at Tsongas Arena. UML’s top three scorers are on three different lines. Maine is 4-2-1 in its last seven road games. Holmstrom has three goals and an assist in his last three games. Beattie has three goals and an assist in his last four games since returning from his third concussion of the season. UMass Lowell has allowed just eight goals in its last seven games. Maine has scored 12 goals in its last three games.
