Albert Dugan

NORTHEAST HARBOR – Albert Dugan, 88, died March 10, 2013, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born May 26, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., son of Charles and Rose (Kirasnickas) Dugan.

Albert entered the U.S. Army and served during World War II, in the 507th Parachute Infantry in the European Theatre Operation. He worked for New York City Fire Department as a firefighter for 23 years.

He is survived by a brother, Joseph C. Dugan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two nieces, Marion Dugan, and Dolores Janns and husband, Leon; great-niece, Catherine Datto and husband, George; and great-great-nephew, Gregory Datto. He was predeceased by a brother, John G. Dugan.

Calling hours will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert. A Mass of Christian burial will be prayed 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 21 Ledgelawn Ave., Bar Harbor, with Father John O’Hara, celebrant.
