Germaine M. Turcotte

LIMESTONE – Germaine M. Turcotte, 88, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Madigan Estates, Houlton. She was born Jan. 13, 1925, in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, daughter of Joseph and Lena (Ouellete) LaFrancois.

Germaine attended St. Louis Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood for many years, was a lady of St. Anne and was in the Golden Age Club, Caribou.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Cyr of Limestone; brothers, Alcid LaFrancois and wife, Grace, Oneil Lafrancois and wife, Helen, Gilford LaFrancois, all of Nevada City, Calif., Nelson LaFrancois and wife, Cecile, of Tacoma, Wash., and Robert LaFrancois of Minnville, Ore.; sisters, Florence Turcotte and husband, Alfred, of Pelitine, Ill., Jean Deane and husband, Wilfred, of Buckfield; and two grandsons, Danny Cyr and wife, Beverly, of Crestview, Fla., and Randy Cyr of Limestone. She also leaves behind two great-granddaughters, Kelsey and Arinne of Crestview, Fla. In addition to her parents, Germaine was predeceased by her husband, Rene Turcotte, in 1973; brother, Reno LaFrancois; and two sisters, Mabel Hebert and Jeannette Cones.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Main Street, Limestone with the Rev. Emile Dube, celebrant.
