NORRIDGEWOCK, Maine — A Norridgewock man whose wife operates a day care in their home was arrested Friday, police said Monday.

Horace Barstow, 67, is accused of three counts of unlawful sexual contact with children under the age of 12, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.

The victims are three different children, according to McCausland. Their ages and genders were not disclosed.

Barstow’s wife operates ABC 123 Daycare from their Upper Main Street home, McCausland said.

Barstow was brought to Somerset County Jail and later released on bail.

Detective Chris Tupper is interviewing parents of past and current students of the day care to determine if any additional children were victims, McCausland said.
