Brewer man hospitalized after losing control of vehicle, police say

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

BREWER, Maine — A Brewer man was injured Saturday evening when he lost control of his vehicle and drove into the woods, police said Monday.

Bradley Kearns, 27, skidded off Elm Street around 7:30 p.m., according to Brewer police Capt. Jason Moffitt.

Kearns, who was traveling alone, was ejected from his vehicle, which was demolished in the crash, the captain said.

Police would not say if alcohol was a factor in the accident, citing an open investigation.

Kearns was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, the captain said. Police believe Kearns was not wearing his seatbelt.

A nursing supervisor said Monday that Kearns has been released from the hospital.
