MARS HILL, Maine — Power was restored to about 1,000 Bangor Hydro Electric customers in Mars Hill, Blaine and parts of Bridgewater, according to Susan Faloon, communications supervisor of Bangor Hydro Electric.
It took a crew with Maine Public Service Company just over an hour to restore the power, she added.
In a statement released earlier Saturday, Faloon said Maine Public Service Company was investigating the cause of the power outage after getting reports of a fault in a transmission line.
“Line workers will work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible,” according to the release. “Anyone using alternate heat and power sources are reminded to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.”
The cause of the outage was traced to the fault in the transmission line, Faloon said.
