MESA, Ariz. – Richard “Dick” Geroux, 77, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 27, 2013, with family by his side.
Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and his passions in life were golf and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He spent countless hours coaching his children and grandchildren. He also officiated various sporting events in Southern California for 25 years in the California Interscholastic Federation. Dick was a relentless teaser and if you had an opinion on a topic, just ask him, and he would tell you what it was.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cheri (Cluff) Geroux of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Bruce Geroux of Veazie; son, Rick Geroux of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Dave Geroux and wife, Pam, of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Kimberly Fotiades and husband, Don, of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Jon Geroux and fiancee, Joelle Hale, of Petaluma, Calif.; stepdaughter, Susan Case-Harry of Bountiful, Utah; stepson, Shain Case of Salt Lake City; grandsons, DJ, Grant, Justin, Max, Nicholas, Collin, Xequille, Xonjay, Xakai, Ean and Dillon; great-grandson, Skyler; and granddaughters, Jaclyn, Madison, Mackenzie, Ivy, Camille, Leela, Elle, Ava, Xojian and Xuriyah. He is also survived by brothers, Alfred Geroux and wife, Dorothy, of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Frank Geroux and wife, Hilda, of Milford; several nieces and nephews. He was loved by all.
A private celebration of life was held March 2 at the home of his daughter, Kimberly Fotiades in Mesa, Ariz.
