By Christina Higginbotham, Foster's Daily Democrat

LEBANON, Maine — Authorities say a 20-year-old Rochester, N.H., woman was struck twice by a vehicle that left the scene near Flat Rock Bridge Camping Resort Friday afternoon.

The woman was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester by ambulance with the assistance of an advanced life support technician, according to Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole.

Cole reported the woman’s injuries were serious but not life threatening at this time.

The Lebanon Rescue Department and Maine State Police responded to the incident at 3:20 p.m.

“The issue is a law enforcement related incident and we would refer any further questions to the Maine State Police,” Cole said in a press release.

State Police could not be reached for comment Friday night.
