Springvale man facing cocaine trafficking charges

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

SANFORD, Maine — A York County man is facing drug charges in connection with the arrest of another man that police made last November.

David Lingenfelter, 46, of Springvale was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in cocaine, Department of Public Safety Spokesman Stephen McCausland said Friday.

The November arrest involved 45-year old Michael Frechette of Sanford, who was charged with the same crime as Lingenfelter, McCausland said. He has been free on bail since his arrest.

The two had allegedly been selling cocaine in York County for several months together, according to McCausland. Lingenfelter was arrested without incident at a social club in Sanford on Thursday.

Lingenfelter is being held on $10,000 bail at the York County Jail.
