SKOWHEGAN, Maine — A drug bust Thursday netted oxycodone pills valued at $10,000 and landed two people in jail facing charges, according to police.

A team of seven from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department executed a drug search warrant at a home on Rosie Court in Skowhegan at about 1 p.m. Thursday, Detective Lt. Carl Gottardi II said in a release on Friday.

Police found 322 oxycodone pills with an approximate street value $10,000, according to Gottardi. A loaded 9mm pistol, drug related paraphernalia and $1,300 in cash were also seized.

Peter Breingan Jr., 36, of Skowhegan and Maria Collins, 24, of Skowhegan were arrested and each were charged with Class A aggravated trafficking in a Schedule W drug and Class C possession of a Schedule W drug.

Initial bail has been set at $100,000 single surety or $50,000 cash for Breingan and Collins. They remained in Somerset County Jail in Madison on Friday morning.

“The case will be reviewed by the district attorney’s office and additional charges may be forthcoming,” said Gottardi. printed on August 20, 2017
