LEWISTON and BREWER – P.H. Smith, 55, died Feb. 20, 2013, at his home in Lewiston, after an extended illness. He was born May 7, 1957, at Johnson Air Force Base, Irumagawa Honshu, Japan, to Percival H. Smith Jr. and Takeji (Hirayama) Smith.
P.H. was a talented musician, artist and footwear designer. He worked in the footwear industry for many years throughout Maine, the Far East, Central and South America. P.H. loved guitars, Corvettes, roosters and miniature pinchers.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his children, Robert, Matthew, Melissa and Elizabeth; a granddaughter, Charlotte; sisters, Rose-Marie and Eunice; nieces, Shaina and Mariah; nephew, Brian; and his faithful companions, his Min Pins, Suzie Q and Sparky. P.H. was predeceased by his brother, Robert R. Smith; and his father, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Percival H. Smith Jr.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Spring interment will be at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
